Cakes are the sweetest part of every event, they represent beauty, sweetness, joy and peace.
How do you know this? Look at the face of a child when you present them with a cake, lovely right? or better still, that pretty smile on your face at the sight of a pretty wedding cake…

Cakes contain important nutrients like Carbohydrate, Potassium, Calcium, Vitamins, etc which are all beneficial to human health.
Making a mouth watering and finger licking vanilla cake is the easiest depending on the recipe used, it’s something that can be done at home in two hours…. ChefT say so 😉
Here is a very easy recipe to make an amazing vanilla cake. Leggo!👇
First of all; I advise you measure using a scale especially if it is your first time baking.
So it is important to get a cake that is well baked and fluffy.
Here are the ingredients for a ten(10) inch cake- One layer.
Sugar: 250 g (it could be less depending on your taste)
Flour: 500g (The measurement for butter and flour should always be the same)
Baking powder : 2teaspoons and a half.
Vanilla flavour : 2teaspoons.
A little water.
Grease and line a ten inch single pan.
Mix your butter and sugar till its fluffy .
Put your baking powder into your flour and mix together ,break your eggs and whisk a little bit.
Add eggs and flour one after the other into the butter and sugar.
Add your flavour and a little bit of water.
Pour into your greased and lined pan and bake for 50mins.
Use a skewer to poke the middle of the cake ,if it is dry your cake ready if it still brings out moisture leave the cake to bake a bit more.
When it is ready bring it out of the oven, leave it to cool for a few minutes (15mins) and remove and place on a rack to cool more.
Note: One egg weighs 50grams.
If your butter weighs 500g, you weigh your eggs by 50 to get the number of eggs needed . 500g needs 10 eggs, but your eggs are to be reduced by 50 grams so it 9 instead of ten eggs.
Then you can have your cake and eat it… after all, it’s your cake
