Florida State University (FSU) is offering an exciting opportunity for prospective graduate students by waiving the GRE requirement for the majority of its Master’s and Specialist programs (excluding the College of Business). This initiative simplifies the application process and makes graduate education more accessible.
Application Terms for 2025
FSU is currently accepting applications for Spring, Summer, and Fall 2025. Readmission students are also eligible to apply for these terms. Some academic programs, however, admit students only during specific terms, so applicants should confirm the available terms with their program of interest.
How to Apply
Interested and qualified applicants can apply via FSU Admissions. Follow these steps to complete your application:
- Submit Application: Complete and submit your application online as early as possible after the admit term opens.
- Receive Email Invite to Status Page: Once submitted, you will receive an email directing you to the Application Status Page, where you can pay fees, add recommenders, and upload any required documents.
- Complete Your Application: Use the Status Page to finalize all materials, including transcripts and recommendation letters. A non-refundable $30 application fee is required.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or an equivalent international degree.
- Meet FSU’s minimum GPA requirement.
- Submit required documents, including recommendation letters, transcripts, and any additional program-specific materials.
Selection Process
FSU’s admissions process consists of two stages:
- The Office of Admissions reviews eligibility for university admission.
- The relevant academic department evaluates admissibility based on program-specific criteria such as GPA, recommendation letters, and other academic qualifications.
